    Hi All
Long time lurker, first post. I saw atwitter post about how to update to 10.3, followed link, etc. Now, my z10 is blank, as if I just got it. And, the OS is the same. 10.2.1.1927. Model number STL 100-3.

Can anyone tell me how to get my phone content back?

    Thanks in advance

OK what did you load a leak or a ota update, also if you have ever done a backup with link you should be able to do a restore to get your info back.

Always back up...that's how you get information back. Now, did you download correct version for your phone?

    Turn off phone
    Start Autoloader
    Plug in to computer
    Wait for phone to restart
    Unplug.

I did run the auto loader , and I see now that it was a dev app 10.3 SDK beta. Yes , I am an *****. But, right now I,m hoping the damage is not irreversible. I just want my old BB back, any help would be appreciated.

Reload with BlackBerry Link then restore the backup that you carried out before using the autoloader.

Has anyone else reloaded via the new link? Curious to which OS it would revert the device to.

You can do it all through Link now if you are just trying to get back to old OS and phone is bricked (or is it not?) If it's not bricked and has the OS you want, just connect to Link and restore.

That isn't the 10.3 dev OS. That's the 10.2.1 dev OS. Missing certain core apps. I suggest since you are very inexperienced, connect your phone to PC, open link and restore stock OS.

Hopefully you made a backup with Link prior to loading the first OS? If you didn't your SOL. If you did, then simply plug in your phone to your PC, and load your backup.

A backup is where all your pictures, contacts, music, settings, ETC ETC.... is stored when you update/downgrade your OS.

Since you have been asked several times if you done a backup before loading the new OS and you didn't answer I assume you didn't backup.

Long story short: Is that the case, your data is and always will be gone!

Hi all Thanks for all your responses I appreciate it greatly. I did back up my phone, but the process "loading the restore content" seems to be taking forever - also the folder it is using is dated from 2010, which makes no sense.

Folder? There should be a file ending on .bbb and its named after your phone and date of backup.

Wow! What a bummer! If you backed up with Link, Link saves your backups (like Paul said above) usually in "My Documents/Blackberry/backup". It will be dated so for instance if you backed up today it will say "Blackberry (last 4 # of your pin) 5/14/14. You want to always restore from the newest back up files. If you have that on your computer and are using Link, you should download the newest OS (unless you like the one you are on) and then do a restore from that file. Remember as long as you have a back up, you almost can't hurt your phone no matter what you do to it OS wise. If it bricks (and most don't) you can always load the factory setup or use an autoloader or Sachesi to put a newer OS back on the phone. I would recommend that you always do a back up but only use it for emergencies like this. When loading a leak with an autoloader, it's best to NOT to restore as any corrupted files that you had, backed up as well and you'll be putting them back on your new OS. Good Luck and welcome to the forums!

If you are using BB Link when you click on "restore" it shows you what backups you have on your PC listed by date. It won't just automatically restore something without asking what file. I suggest you start over.

I can open my documents Blackberry backup files and it lists all my backups (and past BBs bold, torch, and the z10, which it calls 2919.) Looks like its dated january 30, 2014, which would give me a good start, I can fill in what I lost since then, but, how long should the process take? its been circling for 2 to 3 hours now......

It depends on how big the file is.

By the way, wenn the backup is dated January you haven't backed up your phone right before flashing the new OS...
