this is for people who live outside the U.S.A and want to access the American BLackberry Appworld for apps & music etc.. For example I live in Dubai and the local appworld doesnt have music or movies. (yet) (and both will probably be somewhat censored when they are available)

i have also used this trick in order to load U.S.A version of playbook os on my playbook, as when I bought it in dubai the os here doesnt have video calling etc...

Hi, I'm very interested with your trick (I'm in France and some apps like BBY Travel aren't yet available).
I've downloaded the 2 softwares (the free versions) but they can't work together:
if I 1st launch Connectify Me, Hotspotshield won't launch,
if I 1st launch Hotspotshield then Connectify Me, when I attempt to connect my Z10, my laptop (windows 7 - 64) crashes every times. On the Connectify Me website (Hotspot Shield VPN : Connectify Support), it says you can't make them working together.

Ok, I've managed to make them working together (probably an issue with my laptop):
my laptop has an US ip,
I can connect my Z10 to the Connectify-Me wifi hotspot and browse sites, send emails...
But I don't have access to the US BBWorld (my Z10 ip remains a french one).
I'm probably doing something wrong here but I don't know what (I'm kinf of a noob with VPN and stuff like that).

You just download both programs. I forget in which order to install them because as mentioned above one gets a warning that they don't both work together. I'm guessing connectify first. Doest really matter as you just reinstall the program again on top after it doesn't install. Then setup connectify to share the connection that hotspotshield makes. By the way, i think the new version of hotspotshield fluctuates the country now where the IP is now from, so if you don't get USA the first time, just disconnect VPN and reconnect again.

Unfortunately no, because connectify only works with windows. Mac can share it's intenet over its wifi but not the VPN that hotspotshield creates.

I downloaded Connectify free version it seems useless! It says wifi option only available in pro version!
Any walk Around?

Haven't used it in a while and my PC is at a friends house, but I think all that means is that you will need to have your "Internet connection" coming in "wired" over Ethernet from you Modem and then you can share the VPN made from hotspotshield over your wireless card.
In the pro version you can be connected wireless to the Internet AND share the VPN over you wireless card, a cool feature that Windows 7.
