While I am waiting for a BlackBerry Passport SE I want to know if BlackBerry Link is the only option to automatically transfer all my contacts, messages etc... from BlackBerry Z10 to BlackBerry Passport SE.

I just did this about 2 months ago Z10 - BBPPSE and link was flawless for me.

I swapped out my memory card it was easy.

I took the usual precautions and backed up what could beforehand i have backup pro app to save my contacts which is Uber important to me.

There is also an application in BlackBerry World that can help transfer data, I used it to move to the Leap.

That looks like it. IIRC there is a mention of it in Link under device switch.

Thank you. I have Ultimate Backup installed on my Z10 but I never used it and I forgot about it. )))
Do I have to decrypt my files before transferring from the Z10 to the Passport?
I only transferred once from my Curve to my Z10, so I don't know so much about it.

If you want to use your SD card in your Passport then you will have to decrypt it first.

You don't need to decrypt your device storage before using Ultimate Backup though.

Is there a special reason you do NOT want to use link? As I believe this is the best way?
