Bought TOR Guard Anonymous billing plan for 1 year. All PCs/Laptops connected and using service via provided TORGuard VPN Client for Linux (using Debian Jessie+backports).
Got as well 2 BlackBerry Q10s. Managed to follow instruction from TORGuard FAQ and set up VPN via IKE2 protocol.
VPN connection coming on automatically when using WiFi or Mobile Data 3G/4G. No problem with that. However BBM Video/Voice is not working when using Internet 3G/4G and TORGuard VPN on. When VPN off BBM Video all OK. When VPN on and using Internet via WiFi no problems as well. Only when using 3G/4G and VPN on.

    Anybody can shed some ligth/info?
Already started ticket with TORGuard support, start answering their questions with no success so far.

    ???

It might be restricted by BlackBerry servers since BBM video goes through their services

I remember that I had the same problem with PureVPN two years ago, and I do have the same problem with the VPN connection to my home router now.
I think this hasn't anything to do with your VPN provider.

How did you solved the problem?

I checked different mobile provider - Orange - same situation no Video/Voice on BBM using mobile data.

Edit: I just realized I was connected to Wi-Fi, when I tested. When connected to mobile network over VPN the BBM Videochat icon disappears and the call icon stays grey.
So, the below findings only apply to Wi-Fi connections.

    Now that is interesting!
I was just about responding to you that there is no solution, but then I did the following:
    1. Enable VPN
    2. Open BBM... in all chats the icons for calls/videochats are grey now
    3. Just press the grey videochat icon in one of the chats... a message appears "now connecting to BBM service..."
    4. Icon is green again. I can videochat with VPN enabled. Just called my coworker.

For BBM videochat encryption with TLS is only used for initial authentication but not the videostream itself, so if you use a hotspot during travelling, the hotspot administrator could record everything.

Is it possible that the VPN doesn't support IPv6 which many BlackBerry services rely on?

Tried that with enabling VPN via mobile data, pressing grey icon etc. Got message that connecting to BBM services and nothing happens for me next. Still grey and video/voice not working. Still wondering why using WiFi is all fine and using mobile data is not? Hmm...

I'm wondering if the carrier is blocking or interfering with the ports used by the VPN.

Has anyone tried to register to BlackBerry services through settings / about while connected to the mobile network and the VPN?

Tried two Polish mobile providers, Play and Orange. No success. All devices Q10s with newest firmware.

I just installed Android TOR and TOR Firefox, quick N easy install and fast install, it did all the work by itself on my unlocked Passport latest update, plus the two files to fix apps not uninstalling as well as Cobalt, I like it. Went to their site and installed the APK rather then using store and when I opened orbit it set me up on torfirefox when I tapped browser button. Sweet deal and free.
