    Hello,

For anyone interested, the latest version of Tor Browser now runs on BB10. There appear to be a few glitches but so far its a lucky step in the right direction because the previous versions failed to start.

    Tor Browser Alpha
    org.torproject.torbrowser_alpha
    Version 68.1.0

    Cheers

Quick Update: After I restarted the app, all the glitches appear to have stopped. It's now running just as well as on my other BB Android devices. This may have just breathed new life into my BB10 devices.

Yes, it's actually designed for Android.

If you are using an android, then:
In addition to running Tor Browser, I recommend running Orbot plus the Netguard Firewall.

    Orbot
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...droid&hl=en_US

    Netguard Firewall + Orbot
    https://forums.crackberry.com/blackb...orbot-1134676/

Unfortunately, Orbot can't work on BB10, nor can a firewall application like Netguard.
But on BB10 a VPN can be used to cover off the system overall, with Tor Browser being used on top of that for browsing.

    On it's own, no.

But because Tor is based on Firefox, the same addons and extensions which work on Firefox will work on Tor.

The two most popular extensions you'll want to install on both standard Firefox, and Tor are:

    uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger

These two addons will stop trackers and ads with a lot more control than is possible with browsers like Brave or even Firefox Focus.

Tor comes with a third addon called Noscript pre-installed.

I've found this addon can be pretty unforgiving with respect to breaking websites but it's a powerful tool and it too will stop trackers and I think it will stop ads also but I don't use noscript, I prefer uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger because they are very easy to use, so I'm not too familiar with it.

Always try to avoid google play store with BB10 since not certified. As long as Tor site is official, go direct like people do for WhatsApp for instance.

Last Tor Browser alpha from F-Droid (68.1.0 dated 4/10/2019) seems not working on my Passport. App can install, but can not connect to Tor. Ver 68.1.0 dated 6/9/2019 runs fine. So rather do not update! Or am I the only one having this issue?

Hey guys I just fiddled with the TOR Browser and I was able to access my Microsoft Onedrive and it's files. I haven't been able to do so with any other browser or means on the Passport.

Tor Browser Alpha 68.1.0 with Binary version 0.3.5.8-rc-openssl1.0.2.p works on BB10. This is Tor Browser version 9.0a6

This is no longer available directly from Tor Project but it looks like 9.0a6 was uploaded to apkmirror.com and is the Sept 5th Build

    https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/the-to...-apk-download/

    https://blog.torproject.org/new-rele...r-browser-90a6

It seems Tor Browser 68.1.0 with binary version 0.4.1.5-rc-opennssl1.0.2p does not connect anymore. It stalls on the connection attempt with a java.io.IOException error. This is applicable to Tor Browser version 9.0a7 or 8.
