Hey guys, I did a brief search on the forums before posting this so I'm pretty sure this is something no one has mentioned before (I frequent the forums a lot also, I hate when people repost the same knowledge but anyways)

Playing with my passport this morning (I should be studying haha) I discovered that if you open anything in the hub like an email or text for example, when you go back to the hub and you have the indented option to file or delete (see picture) you can tap on the mail icon or text icon whatever it is and it will toggle mark read or unread.

This is useful for me as I always open things just to see the contents and sometimes need to revisit them later before I reply. Just thought I'd share!

Still amazed how you can't mark a text unread on iOS. It's one of a few things that would prevent me from ever going with an iPhone.

Yeah just sucks it won't work for bbm's. Works for Facebook and everything else I've tried, just not bbm's.

BBM works different then standard messages, once you read it, the servers notifies the sending party that their message has been read.
That's why you get the D (delivered) and R (read) icons

View in Landscape (Z30) in the Hub! Can see initial words of longer BBM's and won't send "R" to sender. For me that's usually enough to get the point if the message, of course your case may vary. How much you can see depends on phone model and font size.

Yeah so they could make it mark open and send the r. Easy workaround just hit the reply arrow and then tap outside the box to close it. Much faster than opening the message up.

Yay some mark as unread buddies! One of the reasons why I wouldn't go to android or ios.

This feature alone can keep me on BlackBerry. Glad to know they have the shortcut.
