I wanted to post this under the tips subforum but there is no new post starter button there.
Also note I'm running the latest OS leak on the BB and the latest OS for OSX.

Tip: Send and Receive Files from/to BB10 device/MacBook(Apple computer) via Bluetooth

I at first thought to do this you would have to have a constant Bluetooth connection but then I figured it out. This tip might be obvious to many but might help somebody too.

    Start By:
Turning Bluetooth on on both the Apple and the BlackBerry.
In System Preference-Sharing turn "Bluetooth Sharing" on and set prefs to your desire.
You have to pair the Apple and the BlackBerry.

Go to Bluetooth on your BlackBerry and make it discoverable for good or for 2 minutes(better)
Then go to the Apple and go to System Preferences-Bluetooth.
You should then see the BlackBerry there. Click it and it asks if you want to pair. Make sure the numbers are the same and accept. Once the two have the pairing in memory you can do the transfers.

To send to an Apple computer:

In File Manager select a file and press Share then select Bluetooth:

    Then select your Apple:

    It will then go:

To Send to BlackBerry from Apple:

Go to Bluetooth in your menubar and select "Send File to device" for the BlackBerry:

Select a file and on your BlackBerry accept it:

and it will be sent to your downloads folder. Once finished a toast pops up asking if you want to open it too.

Note: It doesn't have to be a single file. You can select multiple files and send from either device.

Hope this was helpful to someone.

I know it's been awhile since this was posted, but I was struggling with a Q10 and Macbook and this just helped me out big time! Thanks.

Just as a tip in case anyone was having the same problem I was having.

I followed the instructions above but the file still wouldn't transfer (I got everything paired correctly, but I kept getting a "transfer interrupted" message on my phone when I actually tried to send the file, and nothing else would happen). I figured out that the problem was that I had "When Receiving Items" set to "Ask What to Do"; when I switched it to "Accept and Save" and chose a target folder, everything worked fine. I guess the Blackberry expects to be able to send the file immediately and doesn't like it when the mac holds up the process by asking the user where to save it, so the Blackberry terminates the transfer.
