Adobe has not nor do they have any intention of dropping flash in the foreseeable future. They only ceased mobile flash development and support.
They may as well. HTML5 is taking over and Flash is nothing but a resource heavy, laggy, unstable pile of s*it these days. It crashes once a day at least. I'll throw a party the second I find out it's dead.
Crashes once a day at least? Hmmm...not saying that doesn't happen for you, but it's not my experience. Many sites that stream Canadian content use Flash still. From our desktop, laptops, and PlayBook, it always works fine.
There is one more super annoying "new feature" - in Dialer when you switch to Contacts tab now Search opens automatically and the keyboard is blocking half of the screen. I have about 180 contacts and I know where to find the one I need, usually few swipes away. I don't need to search by name every time. This is something that drives me crazy with BB10 - some genius decided something is better and you HAVE to get used to it, no option to change.
+1 there!
Shifty, not saying you're wrong, it does crash and sure, has some security vulnerabilities. However, it still dominates the market in quality and features!

I actually like that. Just type a few letters instead of scrolling and you're there. I think it's actually better this way.
Just ask anyone who lost their ability to make calls on their iPhone when iOS 8 dropped if they keep auto update on ;)
It may dominate the market but HTML5 has many more features. It's also lightweight and isn't a resource hog. It's the future. Just let it happen. Shhhh...
So, what about security, how easy is it or ani't?

I'm okay with it dominating! ;)
The issue is that it's not widespread enough yet, all of this content I'm unable to access without going to another app, just.. makes me frustrated every time I see that "You must have Adobe Flash Player installed to view this" -.-

If you need more proof that Flash is dying check YouTube. They just flipped the switch and all videos play in HTML5 video players instead of Flash in all browsers now. Sooo much smoother and functional.
Honestly I don't find that at all, it really depends on the system you're viewing it from and the reliability of the internet connection. It seems Flash was able to handle poor internet connections (ie university's) a lot better :/

Yeah, I have already looked for options on Snap. It usually isn't an issue though. Sometimes though Flash is nice to have. I do understand though why Blackberry chose to omit it with 10.3.
Is it possible to reverse an update.
I can't believe am not able to watch the BBC news.
The football was one thing but the news.
I can't believe I done this to my phone and BlackBerry hasn't put an alternative in place.
How stupid could I have been :(

Are you viewing the mobile site or do you mean you want to watch the 24hr news live?

"Telstra, Telstra an der Wand, wer ist der schoenste im ganzen Land...?" Answer: Passport... (Optus got it!) ;-)
I want to watch 24 hrs news live, but I've found an app which seems to play a lot cleaner and a lot more choice of live tv.
My only detest is.
It's from Amazon AppStore :(
