I installed 10.3.1.1016 last week on my Z10 (STL100-3) on AT&T and used the non-destructive method as I have for the last few updates/leaks. Everything was working fine with visual voice mail on 10.3.1.938, but since the update I cannot access visual voice mail. If someone leaves a voice mail I get a popup saying there is a voice mail waiting on the network (screenshot below). But they do not populate in the Hub or do not show up in the phone menu (All/Missed/VVM). I see all the old voice mails (before the update) and can play them as well.

Is there a way to uninstall Visual Voice Mail (VVM) and reinstall it?-img_20141104_115143.png

I've tried reloading the bars, but they do not seem to help. I've tried gone through the voice mail setup but when I get there and it opens as it should it will not recognize my password (no matter what I put in the field).

Any thoughts on this? How to resolve? Is there a way to completely remove VVM and then reinstall so it will go through the setup from the start?

I have the same phone, carrier and OS version, also loaded non-destructively. No problems with VVM here.

One thought would be to use the Chrome app and delete the VVM bar, reboot the phone, and side load it again. If this doesn't work, I would suggest you call AT&T customer service and tell them what is happening. They may be able to delete then re-establish your voice mail. I seem to recall having a similar problem way back, maybe a year or so ago, and they were able to fix it. I didn't get any flak about the OS version--they have no idea about BlackBerry OS's or anything related to BB, at least not until they get the Passport.

Reinstall the version you have now. VVM should not even show up when it is complete. Call AT&T and tell them that for some reason the VVM does not show up on your phone. They will set it up for you again. You should call them from a different phone when doing this. Dont let them tell you that they cant help you unless you are on a different phone.

Wow. I haven't been able to get VVM to work since 10.3.1.821, period.

I can't even get a notification when someone leaves me a message, at all.

Disable and re-enable tends to fix, at least with Rogers up in Canada. Sometimes them removing from account and readding is required but that has been rare.

VVM on AT&T is baked into the phone app. I would recommend reloading the OS using the autoloader this time.

A lot of us have had problems with 10.3 and VVM on Verizon, but this is the first I've heard of any problems with AT&T. My guess is its not the carrier but your OS installation.

Maybe so, but it's still worth a try first with AT&T, because if it is ATT and not the OS, you'll still have to work with ATT and will have wasted time and energy with the Autoload, reset apps, etc. .

I wish things were that simple. With Verizon, there seem to be larger issues which may only be resolved w/some custom Verizon-specific changes by BlackBerry, not through any other means (that I've seen).

Since 10.3.1.821, I haven't been able to get logged-in to Verizon Voice Mail at all. So, there isn't any way to disable things because I can't enable it. I believe the only way I'm going to be able to resolve this will be to go back to a pre-10.3.1.938 release. Unfortunately, the latest features in 10.3.1.1016 are too good for me to say goodbye to right now.

There have been other threads about this in other parts of the forum, and there hasn't been much joy found there, either. I'm beginning to think the difference is that 10.3.1.X is going to be supported by AT&T (since they're offering the Passport, eventually), but not Verizon (since they have not publicized any intention of offering the device)?

I went ahead and reflashed the 1016 os through Sachesi and after everything settled in all of the voice mails I was missing showed up. I also called myself and left a test voice mail, it popped up with the notification and I was able to select it and listen to it.

Not sure what was causing the issue, but I'm glad doing a simple reflash fixed it.

Good to hear. I've had similar experiences with reloading non-destructively. even though I don't know how to explain it. Glad you didn't have to do an autoload.
