    Coming back to BlackBerry when my Z30 shows up in about a week (I hate waiting). Earlier versions of BlackBerry had a firewall that would allow you to block outgoing requests to a url, on either a one time basis or as a firewall rule. Looking through BB10, the "firewall" appears to be completely different, focusing more on blocking certain types of inbound communication, rather than outbound requests. Is there a way of replicating the firewall behavior of Days Gone By?

    Nope. Unless you're on BES, then you can configure it through the BES offerings but that doesn't help you much.

    There might be a sneaky work around for that, if you can get the stand alone AdBlockPlus APK working...

    I tried that as well before but it requires deep OS integration with access to the HOSTS file and it's just not possible.
