that (plus now widely implemented swipe gestures) was one of the best things Nokia N9 had and introduced... user customizable notifications that are always-on...
Is there a hope for Nokia-n9-ish super AMOLED LPM screen notifications?-573bb359b7a6d41f613f4bbf6a6fe6d8_view.jpg

Q10 has super AMOLED, I guess it's up to BlackBerry to enable that from within the OS...

I doubt they'd add it just for us and Z30 since the Passport is LCD and it's their baby now.

I've wondered about this too. AMOLED is supposed to be power efficient enough that only the active pixels draw power. I suspect that the concerns over burn-in may have deterred them from displaying constant images on the locked screen; but I know someone with a Nokia N8 which doesn't have any burn-in after almost 5 years of use.

Our lock screen does allow for a quick check of notifications and time by peeking up, though which is an acceptable solution.

there's no fear of burn-in if notifications are "flowing" around the screen, as on Nokia N9, using certain pixels just for a few seconds... how great was that feature, I sincerely hope that BB will realise that... it shouldn't be very complicated to allow developers to use pixels in certain mode... ok, allowing dark hub should be even easier than that, but still no-no
