Well of course. Just use the search feature in the hub. You can also search in specific fields. The one you want is "message".

I meant searching for instances of a certain word in an individual email, not all emails containing a certain word.

Yet another thing BB10 is missing.
Sorry but the suggestion above actually works. I searched for a word inside an. Home email and it isolated the three emails I have the text within and not it is not in the subject of the email. So give it a full test yourself, before claiming BB10 failed.

I just tried it as well - found all emails with the subject verbiage - including whether in To, From, CC, or in the message body itself.

I misunderstood. OP want to search each occurrence of a word in 1 unique email. And there is no solution embedded right now (Well, email "should" be short, so a word is easy to spot on).
Of course, if you use the webmail associated with your account in the browser, it's pretty easy, but not in the HUB. You can also copy-paste your email content in another app (evernote, ...) to search as you please in it.
