    Only thing I can think is the under setting general > display > brightness setting. You might try adjusting the "tint" to blue from a warm (brown setting).
    A higher brightness setting will probably use more battery period. I guess I'm fortunate to see the screen reasonably well on the lowest brightness setting.

    I don't know if it still works but when I used to have a Q10 you c download the kindle app from the amazon app store or Snap / Google Play and adjust the brightness level from within the kindle app. It raises it significantly more than the stock setting.
