I just want to say for what is worth that I'm very sorry for what BlackBerry did to native developers with the amazon deal and ty for supporting us BlackBerry fans by making the apps we needed when others developers turned their back on us.

Let's hope this deal work and increase the consumer base, so we can have native development again (quite confident native development is at risk of stopping ).

Special thanks to the makers of my favorite apps:

    Power tools
    On location
    Talk to watch
    Bpod
    Call recorder.

Android ports are a poor substitute for native apps. I have always bought and supported BB developed apps. This is a sad state of affairs, indeed.

I think the Amazon deal is good for the masses and I way to get more people to try BlackBerry 10 devices without having to be an "enthusiast" to get the big named apps that are missing from BlackBerry App World on their device.

I for one will ALWAYS choose native apps over ported or Android apps.

Though I think the amazon decision will have significant positive impact, I agree with the OP. Thank you for your hard work. I hope devs will continue to see the benefit of native apps, especially where security is a priority.

I hope that with android apps come more BB10 users, and with more BB10 users come more customers for native devs, because native is better than android and people will notice that. Ultimately this could be a good thing for native devs.

I always enjoy native apps. I spent money on several native games like Plants vs Zombies, Hero Forge, Magic Realm and SpectralSouls. I paid for $12.99 for SpectralSouls game and that is really a good game. Hopefully Native developers will strill bring good apps and games in BlackBerry World.

I will always buy a native app over a ported one and whenever possible will donate as well. I appreciate the hard work developers put into them and how much more fluid (and feature-filled usually) they are!

Same here. I will always pay money for a quality native app rather than settle for the android ones.
