That is something I was just saying last night. I so often want to read a article (or have reader mode read it aloud) in the BBM channel however, I can't figure out how to translate it into English. Hopefully someone knows the fix.

You go into settings, language and input and change the language, works fine for me switching often between German and English, depend on the web content / page

    Hope that helps!

Thought I also put a question here in:
Does anybody have an idea how to change the spead of the read - out? ... it's a bit fast for me...

Perhaps this app is something for you. It'll automatically detect the language for you.

Check out Read Out! (TTS, Text to MP3) in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59966912

Since you have mentioned German, I made BlackBerry read both English and German articles when having English as main language of the system. Worked well. It seems that some languages are simply not supported in text-to-speech mode, for example, languages with Cyrillic such as Russian or Serbian, which is sad.

Yes. For normal German you have to go to Settings to change it from there. Very inconvenient.

Well I often change it for better sounds or seeing what the correct meanings in English are - goes fast and smooth for me - the speed of the speach is more a problem to me, in both languages, me finds
