Hope everyone had a great Fourth! America sure is great for many things, but carrier updates sure as heck ain't one of 'em!

Don't want to use leaks and essentially put beta testing in your own hands? I can't say I blame you. Is your BlackBerry unlocked?

TELUS Micro SIM cards are for sale on eBay for about $5 each. When I found these I insta-purchased!

That's $5 dollars for instant access (well once you get it in the mail) to 10.1.0.2050 release 2014 which is stable and SOLVES the random reboot issue confirmed by BlackBerry official support article.

While loading a leak may not be as hard as some may think, it requires some steps and is not guaranteed by anyone. Utilizing a European or Canadian SIM, however, grants you access to the near-latest builds that have been approved.

So, how does it work? So simple, JUST MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS UNLOCKED! Push the micro SIM out of the plastic mold card, put it in your phone, turn WiFi on, check for updates, let it install completely and reboot, then put your regular carrier SIM back in and delete any carrier apps that popped from TELUS.

You are DONE. No more waiting on useless USA carriers like Verizon and AT&T! And no messing around with leaks that can spill all over.

Some people love leaks but this is a solution for people that need 99% reliance on their phone and require stability for work and to keep them moving. Leaks are good when you mostly use it for personal stuff and want to experiment with new features IMO.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the seller of this listing. I just found it and am sharing it for the good of the CB community. And I'm buying one myself!

    Smart idea!

My personal experience with this Telus OS...

Sounds like it solved random reboots for those having it on Telus, which sounds like it was very few people to begin with.

I'm on Telus official Z10STL100-3/10.1.0.2050 right now, and not a fan. I had better results personally with their previous official 10.1.0.1720.

On 2050, my Z10 heats up very easily, especially with simple Browser use.
I also have had 4-5 occasions during 3 weeks on 2050 when I lost data service connection (small case h). Unlike my prior such issue, this time it took 2-3 consecutive device resets to restore data connection.

Of course, this experience is not the rule, it's just my own and yours may vary!
It's better than 10.0.9 for sure!

Rogers oddly has yet to approve a 2xxx version of 10.1 and are still on .1720.

If you want that one grab a Rogers SIM, at least for now.

Also remember these carriers will have 10.2 long before the USA, so it is a cheap but invaluable investment for the future.

Thanks Elite for sharing that though. I am personally happy with 2025 from Tmo USA.
