It makes your phone run on a loop, through the menus, to show off the OS.

Each phone given to a retail store to display comes with a code that an employee puts in to begin the Retail Mode. It basically makes the phone useless other than it's showing what's essential a never ending animation sequence of all that BlackBerry 10 does.

It's actually a good way to test Sachesi and DBBTool and the advanced administration behaviour of any user, like how do I erase all the bloatware off the device.

Just delete this junk and forget about it, among other crap that clogging up device memory, around 1GB of space can be achieved by doing so.

On the other hand this retaildemoshim coming in handy for BlackBerry device collections, displaying the no longer in use devices hooked up to a syncpod in a glass cabinet with some funny display light show.
After a few years of being a BlackBerry junkie accumulating BlackBerry mobiles, this system app makes a nice eye-catcher in your home.

Yeah BlackBerry showing a heart for their long-term user who can't let go of their old devices, at least a glass cabinet with some light action is way smarter than just being dumped in dark drawers and forgotten all about this one's top of the range smartphones.
