hi everybody... i'm getting my brand new Z30 next week and i don't anything about installing OS's in BB10. Questions:

    1. Do u recomend a clean install instead an OTA update? No backup to restore, I'm coming from Android (S4)
    2. To install this, must I save this file in the internal storage and just execute? is that simple?
    3. The file Z30: http://l.bitcasa.com/q6mcMGrh is compatible with any STA version? I don't know what STA version is coming : /
    4. I'm from Venezuela, no problem if this version comes from TMO? my carrier is Movistar!

I'll appreciate your answers!!! Thanks in advanced folks!!!!!!

Since your phone will be new run the autoloader. This will wipe the phone. Download on PC only. Must have link installed on PC for drivers. Also need 7zip to extract the exe. Yes STA. Provider doesn't matter

Hi, congrats on joining the Z30 club. We hope you enjoy it a such as we do.

    1. Best thing is to do a clean install even before you set up the phone.
    2. Download the file onto your pc and use 7zip to extract the files. Plug in your new BlackBerry and run the autoloader. When the OS is loaded your phone will reboot. Then proceed to set it up.
    3. Yes.
    4. No it doesn't.

Q10 with SQN-100-3, i need the radio software .bar
Q10 radio file is common for all SQN100-x models, I suppose.

    RADIO

Q10 (This file works for all SQN100-x models.)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

    Z10 (STL100-1)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

    Z10 (STL100-2 and STL100-3)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

    Z10 (STL100-4)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

Z30 (This file works for all STA100-x models.)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

    OS

    Q10, Z10 (excluding STL100-1), and Z30

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

    Z10 (STL100-1)

    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

Note (quoted from BlackBerry Z10 - Hardware found in Wikipedia):
There are four SKUs for the Blackberry Z10, corresponding to the North American carrier band distribution and international versions.
The LTE version of the Z10 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus (SoC) which has a dual-core CPU running at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 225 GPU for LTE-capable units.
For markets where LTE is not supported, BlackBerry released the Z10 with the Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 (SoC) which has a dual-core CPU running at 1.5 GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. It will use STE M5730 modem.

    Quick update (pun intended):
My Q10 updated perfectly via Sachesi, first try this time. No false starts, no need to remove password - even Picture Password still works, didn't have to reset it or anything. (I did disable my AV.) The download took much longer than the actual update, but no errors at all.

I also tried swapping in a couple of old weather bars. (Hey, I had to try, or I always would have wondered....) The 10.2.0 bar wasn't old enough (the changes I disliked were already there), so I downloaded the Verizon 10.1.0.4189 weather bar and put that in. It installed but... nothing displayed in the app but a pretty blue background, haha. D'oh, I guess whatever icons it used are gone forever. So I took that bar off and re-installed the latest one, and now everything works just fine. (But I'm back to using BeWeather Pro instead.)

Thanks again to thurask and theonecid and lengend and xsacha and bla1se and John Clark and everyone else who have provided files and tutorials for keeping our BB phones up to date! :-D

I find it funny they keep sticking useless shortcuts on my device for things like the Hub and Text Messaging, but the one think I wanted as a separate icon they keep removing every update.
    /sigh :-)
I agree on some of those things, and I used to think the same thing about that Hub icon.

But it turns out it's actually useful, and provides a simple feature that a lot of people had asked for: unlike swiping into the Hub, if you click on the icon, it always takes you to the root/top-level view of Hub, rather than the last section you were in.

So I've now made peace with the Hub icon.

    Thanks.

Updated on Friday early morning non destructive. All ok till Friday evening.

Then, the Z10 started getting sluggish and slow to respond. Also, started to get heated up nd battery draining quickly.

    Most apps open slowly.

Hub activity also very sluggish. Refreshed Hub.

Hard reset, removed battery and SIM and SD card too. Restarted.

    Problem prevails.

    Anyone with similar issues.

Can someone please offer a solution.

If avoidable wouldn't like to use Autoloader as this would again lead to re installing numerous apps.

    Country: 310

    Device: Z10
    Variant: STL 100-3

After that delete the radio file in the donloaded folder and substitute it with the one for your device
After downloading through sachesi i am not able to find the files and change radio file to install the fw in my z30.
Where does sachesi download the files?

Enter the proper search settings. It should show the OS version found. Then hit dowoaded all. It creates a folder named 10.2.1.2156 wherever the Sachesi file is located.

US TMO Z10 here. When I did the update it went fine but when I went to BB World and did an app update one of the things I saw there was a Blackberry Android Runtime. Sadly of all the apps to update that one did not. It crapped out. Now when I try to find it again to retry I saw nothing.

Has anyone seen this and have any idea of how to fix it?
