Hi

I do have a email account which I won't sync every time.
Set it up with Imap Server configuration and sync interval is on manual.
Also this email account isn't configured to be shown in the main hub.
I don't know why, but my Q10 does fetch the emails of the defined folders regularly, even I didn't use the phone (standby).
Push Mode is OFF, too.
Has anybody also observed this issue or does have a solution for it?
OS is 10.2.1.2941

What email system are you using? (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)

I've taken a look at GMX's setup and help pages, but they don't give a lot of detail. I did a couple of quick searches and saw conflicting information. My best guess is that GMX uses IMAP push, so any account set up under IMAP will be push, regardless of whether or not you have "Use push if supported" enabled on your device. In other words, your IMAP account will be pushed even if you don't want that.

Alternatively, you could set it up as a POP account and the manual sync should work, but you lose out on the full 2-way sync.

May I ask why you wouldn't want your email pushed to you?

Push and sync are 2 different things. I set my sync to 24 hours. That way they sync only once a day, saves battery, otherwise every time you go to that email account to look at something it runs the sync and uses MORE battery that way ("manual")

Thanks for your reply.
I do not want to get email pushed from my gmx account, because there are too many spam emails.
I just want to use it in case I am waiting for an emai reply or something else... Future plan is to delete this account anyway.
The strange thing is, that on my android device with the App called "K9" there it is working. IMAP Server settings and only sync when I do want it.
