    Hello,

I have a Google Calendar setup on my Q10 running OS 10.2.1.3175 and it syncs current events fine, and a few past events.

However, I have just noticed that it does not sync the entire calendar! I have events going back as far back as 2009 which are not able to find on my Q10.

I tried "http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...hrough-829829/ " but it didn't do anything different to what I already have.

Is there anyway I can extend the duration of past events synced on BlackBerry 10?

    Thanks

I seem to have stumbled across my own answer: KB34623-Sync Time Frame for integrated CalDAV calendars on the BlackBerry 10 OS

    Its a real shame. :-(

I may have to leave Google and seek alternative.

Look at the app Calengoo. It's a very nice Callender app. It had its own way to connect to Google calendar.

I like it a lot more than bb10 calendar. However it is a little slow.

That is a great app. I had the paid version during my Android days (well, when it was my "experimental device"), and it is a top app (better that the stock Android calender app).

However, I am on a BB10 device now and dont want to use anything but the native calendar app (which is all I want in a calender app). I am just sad that I can not get all the previous events. :-(

Hey Moyah! I always love your avatars

I'm just curious so gonna ask. Why would one need to have calendar access all the way back to 2009? And how far back does Google sync to BlackBerry?

I've just started using Google calendar for work is why I ask.

    Hey Moodyk13,

I love cats, so represent them in my aviators. Glad you liked.

Well, the reason that I want to go back is there has been occasions that I wanted to know a past event whilst I am not at a computer and only have the Q10 to hand (which never leaves my hand really). :-) Anyways, say for example: The date I wanted was for the date I moved house. Which is listed on my calendar as an event for August 12, 2009. As it stands, I can not view these events on the device. Even if I where to "goto" that date, it would be blank!

I have done some search on this and found that I can only view events synced via Google for 90 days. :-(

    Not happy bunny.

Oooo 90 days is way too short!!! Hmmmm I wonder if Yahoo calendar is longer. I use yahoo email so I may check it out.

I know, 90 days is just around the corner. Don't need a calendar to track that. :-)

Hate to break this to you, but Yahoo is also affected.

    The info reads:

"For a CalDAV account that is integrated on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone:Calendar appointments created on the CalDAV source calendar will sync to the smartphone for 90 days into the past and 365 days into the future from the current day.
Calendar appointments created on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone (in the associated CalDAV account) will sync to the CalDAV source calendar forever into both the past and future".

"Some examples of CalDAV calendars include services such as Gmail and Yahoo! mail."

Don't bother with Yahoo calendar. They stopped syncing. I had to switch mine to outlook.com

    Thanks. :-)

I guess we have to wait till June (which should be 90 days).

So, do come back again in late June / early July and post your findings. LOL

    Same here.

I'm going to place some before time events, like the time I fed a dinosaurs, and see if it appears in the search for previous events.

Just export your calendar to outlook from the beginning of time and then sync it to see if it will bring it all in. I can guarantee though that it might halt your phone if it's massive so you might want to do this when you go to bed.

Sadly I still get the same problem. :-( Events sync as far as March 2014.

Annual events sync all the way back, which is no big deal as they are just reoccurring events. Back to the drawing board. :-(

    ;( ;( bummer

Remind me why you don't want to or can't use native calendar? It's what I use for personal one and work uses Google. But that one is not my responsibility so idc if it keeps a history LoL.

One more question b/c Idr if this has been asked/answered. Does Google keep all history if you access it on the Web?

I do use the native calendar, but as of Calenders from my older BBOS, I had them synced with Google Calender as it's make transferring data to a new device simpler. For example, after a device wipe. And I'm one for always loading a leak on my phone.

So it's a bummer when a leak causes me to reload and I don't have all my info. LOL just re-read and that last paragraph could be soooo taken wrongly. LOL

And yes, Google keeps all the history. I have events dating back VERY far, which are accessible on the Web, and on my Android device (when I had one)... and I must say, it was also on my older BBOS.

I'm going to try another approach, syncing on the PC (Outlook) and then importing. I'll report on findings.
