    On my Z10 lately when I try to play music:
    Says Scanning Device Storage
    Then it says underneath No Music
    Then it says You can use blackberry blend to...

    It wasn't paired at the time, but it would not work. Then I waited for a while and eventually it came on without me hitting anything.
    It has also stopped playing suddenly while I was using it paired.

    I had just had it turned off before this happened.

    Any Ideas?

    Yep, check the SD card, and try restarting the device.

    The only time I have experienced something maybe similar is when the SD card was a bit loose. The device had to periodically re-scan to rebuild/maintain the music library. Almost sounds to me that maybe you have a periodic problem with the phone's internal memory. Or maybe something else is causing the phone's music library app to shutdown (again, maybe a memory or processing failure).

    Do you notice any other problems at the same time?
