My Z30 is running the leak 10.3.1.1949. It always start video clips on websites I'm reading at maximum volume despite I set the media volume of the device to minimize. Do you have the same issue?

    Thanks.

More than likely it's the Leaked OS. If you go back to the official OS release, it should be corrected. The official release of 10.3.x.xxxx for "Legacy Devices", Z10/Z30 should be out in a few weeks....

I run leaks and do not have this issue.

BTW legacy devices do not include any BB10 device. Please learn before speaking. It's makes you look bad.

I, believe it or not, have the same problem but the exact opposite. My media volume is always at minimum. It takes me a moment to figure out why I have no sound.

I have also used the term legacy in regards to batch 1 and 1.5 of BlackBerry 10 devices here to be referred to as z10/30 q10 and z3

    My argument
Legacy - first generation devices about to be eol (end of life).
    The legacy of BlackBerry 10

Legacy - Pre-Qnx BlackBerry devices running via java virtual machine based OS ie BlackBerry 4/4.3/4.7/5/6/7/7.1 etc

I beg to argue both are correct in my world and other members agree.

Sound engine on BB10 work similarly as Pulse on Linux. Each app versus each sound output have and remember own volume level.
Try it. Level for headphones and for internal spekers are two independnt levels.
Simply, when I set level in case speakers, level for headphones/BT is untouched.
PS: each app, what use internal player engine use player engine volume level.

Oh man. This feature make me crazy. It still there even when I set the sound setting of the browser off, as well as the device.

I see. However, my situation is that when I touch to play a video clip on a webpage, it starts to play the ad with maximum volume. I figured that the Browser sound setting had been overwrited by the video clips.

Wrong is wrong. The BB10 OS is still produced. You can still buy them new. The hardware is almost the same as the Classic and Z 30. They have not hit EOL yet.

    Simple.

Same here. Always starts at zero volume no matter what it was at before. On 1154 leak.

How about playing video in the Browser if that video has maximum sound set?

Hmmm... that's strange for me. I'm using 2072 leak as well. Perhaps it is the way I installed the leak: I just installed the core OS, the radio. All apps are kept as 1949.

So I will wait to get the official OS version then.
    Thank you.

Sadly, after getting updated with the official 10.3.1, my Z30's sound volume level is STILL overridden by video clips playing in Browser. How BlackBerry nowadays is!

Same issue on my Z10, on 10.2.1 and 10.3.1. All official releases. It doesn't happen on Facebook, YouTube, or websites with embedded YT videos. Only on some sites

Thank God, I'm not the only one who have this issue. But this is not happening when I use version 10.2.1.
How BlackBerry can let a video clip control sound volume of its device?! What is reliability?

    @PagerRocka: Sorry!
