Since I have installed .575 i have been stuck on 3G in areas where i was usually on 4G. Did I miss something? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah I had the same problem, I couldn't figure out a solution. It annoyed me soul much that I just downgraded to 10.2. But did u upgraded to 10.2.1 during the Rogers outage?

I updated my OS minutes before the outage. For this reason i believed that the lack of 4G was a rogers issue. At this point its obvious it is not. Is the procedure to install a previous OS the same as installing an update?

Yeah, it is, find a leak that u want to install and run the file.

Ok Thanks. I was under the impression it was different when you "downgraded"

It funny because I never had the 3G signal before in my area of Toronto. When I upgraded to the 10.2.1 leak was during the Rogers outage (unbeknownst to me at the time).

On the 10.2.1.5** when my phone had a LTE signal it would be labelled a 4GLTE signal, which I never had with Rogers but is seen on Bell/Virgin. It was weird to have 3G signal all the time on the 10.2.1.5** leak.

Typically on my Rogers Q10 and Z10 on the previous leaks and 10.1 MR, my signal would go from LTE to 4G (and vice versa), never would I be on 3G especially in the area I'm in. Even on my Note 2, the signal is labelled as LTE and not 4GLTE.

So I decided to downgrade to Q10SQN100-3/10.2.0.1791 which uses the same radio as the 10.2.1.5 leak. But I made sure to downgrade it when Rogers was back online and now I don't have the 3G problem.

My guess is that it probably be corrected if u reinstall the 10.2.1.5** leak again and see if it connects to the "correct" Rogers signals. But I'm no expert, maybe someone on the forums with knowledge on the matter can chime in.

I have the same problem with Rogers showing 3G. I was assuming it was just the software showing HSPA+ as 3G. I then loaded the later radio file and I get the same 3G. I still get the 4GLTE, so haven't bothered downgrading to the 10.2.0.2791.

I am on a SQN100-3 and maybe it is related to the radio being a bit different than most of the other phones because of the LTE max on the 2600 frequency.

The signals are back to normal for me on Q10SQN100-3/10.2.0.1791 using the same radio that I used on the 10.2.1.5** leak. By any chance did u load the leak during the Rogers Outage?

I think I loaded the leak the day prior to the outage and then the day of the outage tried the other radio file. In both cases I had the 3G problem.

I did. Any chance that if I reload .575 that might solve my issue.

I don't know, it seems like it's an issue that occurred before the outage. So I don't think it will resolve the issue. Perhaps u can try to and can report back with what happened.

I've tried reloading and nothing. I've tried the .1792 radio and still on the 3G.

-Could this have something to do with Rogers LTE max??

-if so what is the best radio I could install with leak. 575.

When your phone says 4G it means HSPA+ which is technically 3G, so your phone is displaying it properly. LTE shows if your phone used to show 4G, and 4GLTE shows if your phone shows 3G. All this is doing is showing a numerical value to what never existed.
    Edge = 2G
    HSPA/HSPA+/HSDPA = 3G/4G(dependant on carrier)
    LTE/ALTE = LTE/4GLTE (again carrier dependant)

In the end all are the same. If you want your old terminology back to make life simple, security wipe your device. It go back to normal. And in about a week the network terminology will switch back to the one your seeing now.

Ok so that was simple enough. Thanks. Never did I ever see the 3G logo before this update so I was kind of curious. Was the terminology changed by Rogers?

    Thanks again

Nope, the phone decides based on what tower it connects to first

Ok thanks. Excuse my noobiness ) but what exactly has changed. As mentionned I have never seen a 3G logo before.

Also, this device is supposed to hook up with Rogers LTE max on the 2600 spectrum. Does the simple fact that I do hook up to 4glte mean that I am connected to LTE max??

You are correct 4GLTE is the same as LTE. So if your in a LTE 'Max' area, you'll be on that network.

okey... ran into this problem long time ago; ever since have installed many leaks... now the problem usually arises when on initial setup of the phone you skip connecting to the carrier and also do not download the regional settings.
Try to reinstall the leak and make sure it searches and connects to the right carrier and later you download the regional settings too..... cheers
