Hi CB;

I recently did a bit of monkeying around moving pictures around on my device and onto a computer after a long vacation.

After all my file operations however, a strange folder appeared in my Photos app. It says it contains 45 unknown items. When I remove the memory card, that number drops to 22. So there are some ghost files both on my device and on my memory card. See the photo below.




Any way I can get rid of this crap?

Edit: It's worth noting that I've scoured the device and memory card for folders and items, and I can't find anything else other than the real items on there.

I've found that some apps put images into the device folders without notification. I've used file manager to get rid of some, but others keep popping up time and time again.

The Unknown Folder is created in the SD Card itself. Copy the full content of the SD card in a computer, format the SD Card(from Mobile Settings Option) and copy back the content to SD card again. And Voila!!

This does not work for me and I'm not running any sideloaded apps.
