File name too long, illegal characters or file extension incorrect. BB10 is notorious for relying on file extensions to 'verify' file format. In File Manager files will show a pdf icon but because extension is not .pdf it will not read it as a pdf. Stupid.

Would it not need to read the filename to play it on the TV, or is it only the Native music player that suffers from this problem?

I agree many times I have had to manually change an extension to. Pdf or other to open the file successfully. Weird workaround if you know the filetype

Happen to me sometimes when I plug my speaker into the jack. Same error as your. Usually need to play the music first before plugging in the speaker. This happen with my default music player and my own music player so I think this is the Os problem.

Symbian is still and always my favourite Os. Nokia 808. FilePLAY Music Player
