It's as the title says - I managed to kill the reminders to update, and don't see the need to update from something I know and like, except if there is a serious security hole in 10.2.1? Or if there are significant and specific security improvements in later versions?

Been a number of security "updates" in the last three years.... what vulnerabilities you have, it's hard to say.

Serious... I doubt it as I expect few would work on BB10 device. But I'd still update.

Wasn't there some fairly serious vulnerabilities in the way the browser handles https sites?

    Many thanks for the replies.

Yes there is a FREAK vulnerability in the browser, but this is unlikely to impact me with my usage.

If there's nothing else then I would prefer to keep 10.2.1 which looks better and doesn't impose Android runtimes and forced updates. Then again, if there was anything else, who would know about it since any r&d is being focussed on the later versions..

I wish I had not 'upgraded' from 10.2.1, I liked the way it worked and the very audible notifications.

what? other than the p.i.t.a. process of backing up, using an autoloader, and restoring data (not config), there is no downside to running the latest version. it certainly fixed many issues. so long as you update with that method.

I'd say stay on 10.2.1 the HUB still works like it should. Fast and without any lag.
