Why would someone want to release a phone today with 3+ year old chips. Next question why would they want to us an OS that BlackBerry could not sell when it was fully supported? Why would you pay for an OS when you can get one for free. Last question if you want something other than Android why not license Windows Mobile, it comes with MS apps like Office.

Also, if BlackBerry still fully supports BB10 what have the several hundred developers that are required to fully develop the OS been doing for the last 18 to 24 months? Do you think BlackBerry just has them in cold storage? Where do you think all the cost savings have been coming from over the last 24+ months?
Because there are still parts of the world where BB10 has done well like in some parts of Africa and Asia.

You are mistaken. Legacy BBOS was very popular in Africa and South Asia (often with used phones and low-cost Curves), but BB10 was largely priced out of those markets and never sold much there.
