Oddly enough, after upgrading to 2474 I no longer experience double typing on my keyboard, but instead the keyboard ignores quick double taps of some keys. So instead of typing "look" it'll come out "lok".

Has anyone else started to experience this? It isn't consistent, just as the double typing.

I guess they introduced a delay in registering new keyboard input, in order to prevent the double-type issues

As it seems BlackBerry fixed the hardware issue with a software solution. If this is true then IMHO it is expected to behave like that. Just try to increase the time between the two vowels and please tell us the results.

If it is a hardware issue then why fixed it with software?

I had this dt on all my Q10, classic, and pp.

And when I sent it for repairs, they changed to a new keyboard . Cant understand why BlackBerry wouldt want to improve the kb in the first place.

Maybe because it's impossible to replace the keyboards on a couple of million devices spread all over the world?

It is the nature of the technology itself that makes it impossible to be perfect. All manufacturing is about acceptable tolerance. Name a better physical keyboard anywhere in the world.

If it costs $1 million to build a keyboard with a slight percentage boost in reliability, is it worth it when software can compensate for it?
