I got in my car today and decided to try my Q10 with Spotify and this new leak. What do ya know, skip, pause/play, and mute functions finally work over bluetooth with my car stereo! So stoked! I am one step closer to dumping Apple.
    Check it out and cheers!

...and it also broadcast title and other mp3tag details. Interestingly, if you pause and then start playing, it does not start stock player anymore. It also works in the newest leak, OS 10.3.1.1016.

    Loving this thing!

Using Spotify on Z10/10.2.1.3062 and there are annoying pauses, caused, I think, by notifications. Do these go away with 10.3? Is there anything I can do to avoid them now?

Well, I gave up on Spotify on 10.2.1, it is too much of a hassle. Installing leaks is risky but if you do it right the pay off is great. It was ok on 10.3 but if you want a great experience I would recommend a 10.3.1.652 or higher build.

Very interesting. I guess I should look forward to 10.3.1. I have been wanting to control Spotify in my car since I got into BlackBerry. I still want a native client.

Well we all have different cars but that is irrelevant unless you have a bluetooth capable head unit.

Just saw that you are talking about 10.3.1ff. As I am waiting for the official release I will have to wait for this to work.

    Hi

Im using spotify on 10.3.0. I want to change music by pressing up & down volume key just like the music player while on lock screen. Is it now possible in 10.3.1? As of know I need to unlock the phone before I can change the song

    Thanks

    Let me go check.

UPDATE- Yes, you can. Just make sure you have the option turned on in the Main Volume menu. ( I'm sure you already do.) It is a slightly longer press than volume up/down.

Check your settings at Settings > Main Volume, Music Shortcuts must be On.

Update: i guess the method explained below is no longer necessary as of 10.3.1.1016 and up. Within the notification menu there is a new option alongside the Sound and LED setting named "show in hub" (or something similar). This feature does only show up on Android apps.

    Attachment 316431

Yes you can, you should download some kinda Android Filemanager (I've used Ghost Commander for this) there you can view a list of all your (Android) Apps including the Android options app. Within this options you can get a list off apps, clicking them enables you to disable notifications =).

It evolves some work, but I think it's definitely worth it.

Just purchased a new Audi A3 today and I'm pissed that Spotify wont work properly via Bluetooth controls. As much as I'm tempted to install the leak, I think I'm gonna be patient and just use the native music player till an official release. Glad to hear it's been resolved in this update though, I was about to lose my ****.

I hear ya, it is so annoying. I was surprised to try it out on the leak and actually have it work.

So I installed the latest leak last night. Spotify does now work with Bluetooth controls via my Audi. Only seems to show track info on Radio though. When I skip tracks via a Playlist or Music folder it losing the info and freezes from last tracks information. Anyone else have the same? May try a few other Spotify builds.

Yeah its a standard response from Spotify.

I've Tweeted at them twice and basically got the same response as you did from them.

I think "remind our developers" is a codename for take no action.
