    ***UPDATE***

For those running .1047 with the .1157 runtime, Spotify is working! Jump to MrGlenn's post here: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...ml#post8995133

    ***************

I've tried to get Spotify running on 10.2.0.1047 with the .810 runtime, both with a signed bar and an apk2bar converted one.

Each one just seems to hang on the first screen with no login prompt or options. Anyone been able to get this running? I have it running great on 10.1 runtimes with the signing keys.

Sadly won't work for me, no matter if I try with or without debug token.
    Any ideas what to try?

No dice for me either. I tried both 1047 and 810 runtimes both with debug via xSacha method. Just loads up and says spotify on there, but its a white screen.

Seems it won't work at all with this release. Hoping for another one soon, because I would like to keep those toast notifications.

What OS version are you working with, and did you install a different runtime? I tried converting that apk, registering it with debug token, etc., but it still only generates a white screen

Ok, I'm wondering if the issue why we are getting a blank screen has to do with the SD card issues. Looks like the app runs, it just stalls because it can't link to the external SD card (because that's what the Android version will do, but since our "sdCard" is really the internal BB memory, i think this is an issue).

I'm not an Android expert but i've played around with a few things using Ghost Commander. By going to Android/Data/ there is a com.spotify.mobile.ui folder (some versions don't produce this, for example, 0.6.0.17 didn't create this folder. I manually created it, and then got an "Spotify has stopped" message every time i opened the app. Delete that folder, and no longer get that message).

I have a Nexus S I use for just Spotify and Google Music while I'm at work, and I checked the file structure there. For the most part its pretty similar.

I'm currently reading through this thread and am trying to pick out what is holding us up from using spotify on our BB10 phones running Jelly Bean:

BOOM! I think I found how to get it to work using the latest Google Play version 0.6.6.270!!!

The issue was the file was not writing a Storage directory to the Android directory. I'll do my best on how to fix this issue:

    1) You must sideload Spotify and open it once to have it open to a blank screen. This will create a directory for you in the Android file system. Don't worry about it not working yet, just let it open to the White screen and then close the app.
    2) Download Ghost Commander from Blackberry App world
    3) Open Ghost Commander. It should open by default in the folder /mnt/sdcard/
    4) Click Android/
    5) Click data/
    6) Click com.spotify.mobile.ui/
    7) Click files/
    8) You should see a folder called "spotifycache/". Click that.
    9) This should be an empty folder. Click the three dots, select New, "create a new folder". Title this folder exactly as follows:

    Storage

    10) Now, create another folder in that directory titled exactly as follows:

    Users

    11) Close Ghost Commander and Open Spotify.

You should now get the log in screen where you can log in and now run Spotify!

I haven't had anyone else test this, but I did try it twice on my Z10. I can't guarantee this is THE solution, but it is what has allowed it to work on my device.

    Good luck!

I've been testing this now for about 30 minutes or so. The app is still fairly non-responsive. I'm not 100% sure why, but my playlists just Show "loading" and never really load.

It is working now but for me it was another path:

    mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Android/data/spotify.mobile.android.ui/files/spotifycache/

And in there I created the subdirectories Storage and Users.

    Nope. It's still at 0% ...

Spotify tries to tell me I'd not have enough free space for storing offline music. 80% of my 64gb sdcard are free.

Yes - that did the trick!

I did have to get creative because I had a 'cache' folder instead of a 'spotifycache' folder, but after some fancy re-naming it fired right up for me. Now I have to just re-load the 6.5 version and be on my way.

Spotify AND10.2? Well now my Z is just about perfect. Thank you!...

That's because I believe the Spotify app only saves music to your internal storage. I'm not sure it's capable of saving to the SD card.
