Anyone having issues where the splat icon for text messages sticks in their icon page?
I have used the search function in the Hub for text messages but there is not Any that are shown unread. Everytime I do a battery pull, or even
restart the device, the splat goes away Until I get another text.

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask.

You have a splat on the BBM because you have an unread BBM.
In the second pic, the Splat on the CB app is because you have something unread. And the splat on the folder that contains the BBM and text message icons, is once again likely cuz you have an unread BBM.
The splat on the second picture isn't "on the text message icon", it's just on the folder.

I have that splat right over the text message icon inside that folder. I already checked my BBM but the splat is Still displaying. Like I said I have NO unread messages in the hub now and the splat still has the icon.

Basically the icon is sticking when I have No new messages.

Oh, I see.....
That is weird.

I've actually just stuck my "Text Messages" icon in a misc folder at the very last page of apps and ignore it since I never need it. I just go to the HUB directly.

So I don't even know if this has been happening to me or not.
Sorry, got no fix for you here.....

Yeah I stuck the Text Message icon on the last page, as I can't remember how to create a New folder.

Try opening the text messages section of hub, hold the date at the top and then when the menu on the right appears select "Mark prior Read" see if that clears it.

To make a folder just drag it onto another icon so they overlap and release. It will ask you if you want to make a new folder and what you want to name it as.

Yeah I tried that a few times and it didn't work. It only cleared when I rebooted the phone.

Oh yes I knew that. I thought we could create a blank folder without dragging onto another icon. Anyway I am on the leaked 10.1 version and I don't think I have this problem anymore.

Umm what at you talking about?? Whenever there is an issue the last resort IS to reboot the phone. I was saying that reading my text messages still did not fix the splat sticking issue.

I was having this problem BEFORE I updated to the Leaked 10.1 version!

Troubleshooting 101: try to restart WHATEVER it is first. What happens when you call the cable company and say your Internet isn't working?

On a second note the problem started before the update and persisted? Sounds like some sort of corruption in the text xml or whatever sort of database blackberry uses to store texts. Weird indeed!
