I just got this pin message. I think it is from BlackBerry Indonesia.
Why the heck did I get it? And why the heck did they send it to me.
My phone is from the UK.

Is it original? Is it related to the latest update?
And finally, what does it say?

    Spam from BlackBerry (I think)-img_00000487.png

Mods excuse my posting the thread here as I did not know where to start it.

    Please locate accordingly.

It is not spam from BlackBerry, but rather spam/scam from... spammers?

    No different than junk emails.
There are only so many BBM PIN number combinations so eventually you'll get some spam from someone trying to brute force send something to everyone.

No, it's just some spammer with nothing better to do.

Your PIN came up on the random generator, looks like.

    Disregard the message.

BlackBerry is really famous in Indonesia, that's why someone try to pretend to be BlackBerry

Thanks for the translation. I got it too, but have no clue what does it mean. Google translate on mobile doesn't accept long text

    I also received it twice.
I assumed it was spam, so I just deleted it.

It should be possible for BB to to block a PIN (and potentially the BBID) if a user uses BB infrastructure to send spam messages!

I agree, this isn't like spoofing e-mail, where tracing the originator is next to impossible. This originated from a particular device and PIN presumably. I've just got my second such spam PIN message, so going to see what I can do reporting my cases to Rogers and asking them to launch an investigation with BB.
