I understand that BlackBerry World is shutting down at the end of the year. I'm just wondering whether CB will make CB10 available as a .bar file to download when BBW goes.

I suspect it will go the way of Android Central if the upkeep costs outweigh the revenue benefits. Unless there's low costs involved if coupled in with CrackBerry Android maintenance. Similar to BBMe issues perhaps?

Probably. Not really any reason to not make it available.

I don't get what you're talking about here. We already have an app like Android Central's. Making the .BAR available for BB10 users isn't going to change that.

Sorry but I broke my thought process so my statement made zero sense.

I was speculating onto whether or not CB10 app would actively be maintained for BB10 as the BB10 version of Android Central doesn't appear to be maintained anymore.

I had fired up a Q5 and Z3 on Wi-Fi during the holiday week. CB10 was great but Android Central for BB10 is dead. I had e-mailed support to alert them when I had last used Android Central about 12-13 months ago but never heard back from anyone. The stories won't update and if you click on story to read, it just says "null" .

The only thing I'll use the BB10 hardware for is the CB10 app so if that's kept updated, great. If not, I understand as most of us here use Android version or mobile browser on Android/iOS hardware.

As I've noted in the past, if CB10 breaks and it's not easily fixable it likely won't be fixed BUT the way it was built and the lack of forthcoming changes in the BB10 OS means it'll likely work for as long as it needs to. In cases where site changes have broken it, we did/do fix those.

Even if there was no application, the website is easily accessed within the browser.
