When it's a blue D it says 'Retrieved' but when it has a ✔ it has no report.

    What do they mean?

D stands for Delivered , that other symbol means that it has been Send succesfully but it has not been delivered yet...

D stands delivered for SMS. Notice, the other one is from Whatsapp: 1 grey tick sent but not delivered, 1 blue tick delivered, 2 blue ticks delivered and opened (assuming read).

Is delivery confirmation a standard sms feature now? I definitely don't see any blue D indicators in my Texts. Is this a carrier thing perhaps? Or maybe BlackBerry to BlackBerry (I don't text with any BlackBerry people... just bbm).

Do you really believe BlackBerry got the grey check mark from Whatsapp?

Pay attention to the icons next to the marks we are talking about, it is not about believing, it is about seeing!

It is cross-platform and cross-carrier SMS thing, but may vary very rarely with different carriers.

I'm on AT&T and don't see any indicators other than grey check marks. Sending to iOS and Android devices.

I am on small European carrier (but also changing SIM card with few more, European's too) and my setup is exactly as shown in the very first post above.

Hmm... Maybe someone else on AT&T using the Passport can confirm. Mine looks like this:

    Lmaoo!
Whatsapp didn't have sent confirmations or read receipts until November.....2014. BlackBerry certainly did not get it from them.
Good luck with believing everything you see though.

For the "D" to appear you not only have to turn on that "Confirm Delivery" but also have to be on the same carrier. Otherwise just get a grey check.

Not the same carrier, but the carrier must support it for it to be used.

It's the difference between the software for the BB Classic and the Passport. I get the D on my Classic, only check marks on my Passport. Don't have the settings option on the Passport. Both are on the latest OS
