I already know what responses I'll get from posting this, but this is truly what happened and all I'm doing is repeating it for you guys because I think it's kind of funny... You know how every Samsung and Apple fanboy will say how "obsolete" BlackBerry phones are and how it's such old technology and how their phone can do so much more, and blah blah blah blah? Well, besides all of the movie nights my phone has saved since nobody I know has a smart tv to support all of those wireless streaming methods like miracast and wifi-direct (which my Q10 also supports BTW) so my HDMI-out has saved movie night so many times already while everyone and their androids and iphones would have ended up sitting around twittling their thumbs without my "obsolete" phone... Anyway, here's the story...

The other day some friends and I decided to give disc golf a try at a park kind of close to where we live. We found the first "hole" but was looking for #2. So my friend with his Samsung Galaxy S4 Active was looking at the site. Then he sighs in disappointment and says how he has to download some app in order to try to view the map because from the Chrome mobile browser on his phone, it just gives him a "missing plugin" error and he cannot proceed. So, just out of curiosity, I decided to try it... Well... On my crappy "obsolete" phone from an "out of business" company, it wouldn't embed it like it would on the desktop, but it did give me the option to download it (turns out it was an embedded pdf file). And voila, it worked, and we had a map...

In case you're curious, here is the site: Amelia Earhart Park | Professional Disc Golf Association Just click on "Maps and Photos"

There were other times where I was able to load things on my phone that others were not, but this one happened just the other day. So I figure I share it. I know it's kind of a pointless story, but whatever...

And I find it funny, because all three of them have the SAME EXACT phone. They had to put different stickers on the back just so they can tell them apart... Talk about being part of the collective...

Gee, I was able to find a map of the course from Topeka, KS without installing a plug-in, or even working very hard to do so. Helps if the user knows how to use a phone, I guess..... Just used the basic information you provided, grabbed a different website with a course layout guide, took all of two minutes, and I'm half-asleep.

Different website? I didn't need to do any of that. I went to that link I gave you, and it popped up to save it, so I did, and then it opened. Took all of 5 seconds. But glad you "found a way" too. :-)

And just to be clear, he knew he could get it too. I think he was going to download a separate app for opening flash, he was saying the stock chrome browser fazed out flash. So had I not stepped in he would have gotten it in "a few minutes" as well. But I was able to get it on the first try with my stock browser. Which he was fine with because he hates installing extra apps on his phone, so he was happy just to look at the map off my phone.

Yes, I know it's a pdf, but on his phone, where the map would have went said "Missing plugin" and has the flash logo (both by the same company).
