Personally, I've just been using up to date versions from Google Play Store and have patched them using GMAPS Patcher, and the app seems to work fine. The only thing I'd like to see changed on the app is that once I adjust the notification settings, and close the app, that my adjustment of the settings actually carries over to the next time I open it.

Anyone know why it's still in BBW for me?

Yeah same here, they probably haven't removed it yet, the way some people go crazy if an App disappears and they don't bother to Google it.

This is not a wide spread issue. Couple apps from a couple lazy developers. The whole point of the Amazon app store is to offer apps that work on the forked Android OS Amazon does.

    Reality:

The fat lady has begun to sing.
Eventually BlackBerry World will be shut down.
If the Priv sells 5 million units or more, it will probably be later than sooner.
If not, Chen pulls the plug on handsets altogether.

This is worrying, hope BlackBerry world survives. Amazon's apps are not that good. Some apps don't fit my classic and some don't run at all. Amazon has more games than productivity apps. Since I always see games on their main page. But the skype app is excellent.

Amazon apps are not compatible with BlackBerry 10 phones. They arenot stable and you do not get any notification! Skype is android ported! No native skype instagram Viber! Wtf? Even fb is third class outdated! Very disappointing! You can't set custom notification for amazon app. There's annoying bar always at the bottom. Amazon apps are not fluent and no smoothness at all!

    I have the same problems.
After waiting literally minutes for an app to load, I couldn't rely on it to operate properly.
Apps like Square Register would freeze up in the middle of a transaction.
    With regard to native apps:
On my 9900 I have BuzzOff, an excellent call blocking app.
When I bought my Q10, I contacted them regarding an OS10 release of their software.
They informed me that they were waiting on BlackBerry to give them whatever it was that they needed to develop the app. That's a year after the launch of OS10.
They did that with thousands of app developers.
But by that time BlackBerry was tanked and a lot of app developers (like Shazam) stated that they would not develop their apps for OS10 or even further updates for OS7.

What happens to BB10 users who don't have access to the Amazon store? You have to have 10.3. I'm on my carrier's latest offcial 10.2 version with no Amazon option.
