    I'm getting SIM card not detected error. I think the sim tray is damaged

    But wanted to check with you if I can do anything

    Is new SIM tray available online? If so can it be fixed?

    Pls advise

    Things I tried

    1. Rebooted after inserting the sim multiple times
    2. Tried with different sims

    I had that with my leap, had to send it in for sim tray replacement. It took BlackBerry two months.

    Yes new tray is available online.

    Yes it can be fixed.

    However, it's a rather nimble job as it requires soldering onto the main board of the device. When I had similar issue with my Q10, I took to a phone repair shop and it was all fixed in a week.

    The problem started when I used a sim adapter in the phone. This damaged the sim tray causing it to need replacing.

    I have ordered Sim tray from ebay and handed my phone over to an unofficial service centre. They fixed the problem. It is working now
