Do you mean "present in the app" when used on a PC using a MS account or "present in the app" and available on BB10? In either case, do you know the last working version for BB10?

I haven't noticed much difference between desktop and mobile apps other than the mobile app seems a bit more buggy.
These versions were working last I tried them, but they did tend to eat at my battery.

Signal 4.36.2.apk is installed and now working on my blackberry passport.

The tricky part to get it to work is to receive the activition code on an other Phone. ( put the sim in the other Phone to receive the code)

You get a warming about not Using the Google playservice.
(Just press ok)

Put the activition code in on the blackberry device.

Edit: if activition code is activated on youre signal account.
First disable that on another Phone with aa more modern version.
After putting the activation code off i was able to activate signal.

This would be awesome if I could get it to work but I do not understand the edit at the end. I used to use signal on my passport until the app told me the version was too old.

Maybe it's a bit confusing.
By Edit i should have said remove registration lock on your account.
Then you can register the old app on the blackberry passport by typing the activation code you received on the other Phone.

As i'm Using signal on the passport daily i know it works for messaging.
Group calls, video and photo's wont work sofar.
If anyone knows a way around that please Let me know.
But messaging works.

When i go to settings in the signal app under privacy i have the option for a registration lock. It was on.
It worked on my iphone but when i wanted to activate signal on my blackberry i types in the correct registration lock code but it wouldn't register. When i put the registration lock to off on my iphone i was able to register signal on my blackberry passport.

If I already have Signal on my Android phone, should I uninstall and install the right apk? Then get a code and unlock registration lock? Then install on my BB10 device and use the same code?

Two years - I think Signal is done on BB10 as are most other messaging apps. As you have found out WhatsApp will work to some extent but limited pic size. Telegram still works in a limited fashion as of yet but other than that maybe Briar.

If you need all these messaging apps to work properly then you need an up to date phone, BB10 is hopelessly out of date and any app that works is probably going to be less secure anyway.
