Just tried again. The downloaded file is 59 KB. Other version is 800 KB.

Impossible. Check anything that could prevent you from normal downloading. The file on the server is OK (tested multiple times), so it should be a network issue.
Please share a screenshot of an error or whatever you get with it.

Try to uninstall before installing the 1.0.0.4 version...

I swear I tried every possible way. Deleted History, deleted Cookies. Multiple reboots. Finally, I turned on Private Browsing, and it hesitated for a second, but downloaded.
I must have downloaded 20 of those 59 KB files.

Vpn not connecting, have tried from user1 - user100 and all to no avail. I really need to install snap since the sideloading thru chrome didnt work for me.

Are you able to connect to any other VPNs out there? Can you show the error it gives you? Can you connect to any other VPN out there? If you need assistance in trying it out, PM me. This is just to make sure your ISP is not blocking the necessary ports on your network.

Also, you have "sideload.it", not "http://sideload.it", right?

Glad its free, now i can use it on my PlayBook, but now its not as needed so there is alot less traffic on there due to lower demand.....still greatly appreciated! :)
Can you confirm the apt file worked for you on PlayBook? I was still too lazy to test it...

i have a feeling even if the instructions were reposted they would benefit no one.
1. Download apk of sideload.it from http://sideload.it/sideloadit.apk and install it
2. Enable development mode in your BlackBerry
3. Set apn, instructions on http://sideload.it/?page_id=12 and connect.
4. Open Sideload.it app,
4a. complete "device ip adress", you can get from the development mode, and password
4b. Complete last field with link of the bar
5. Sideload!!
