Should I install a leaked version of 10.3.1 on my Q5 or wait for the official version?

I really really want to jump onto the BB10.3.1 bandwagon, but I also want my phone to be stable and have features I use daily (such as bedside mode) to be fully functional. And I'm also a little worried because when i finally jumped to 10.2.1 Koodo had released the official OS just a week later.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find a concise "leaked os status page" that indicated which leaked version is the currently recommended one and such.

Thanks.

1) only you can make that decision
2) 10.3.1 being stable is up to your personal feelings, for me it's stable.
3) if you need to ask others if you should load, then just stick with what you have.

Well, I installed .1016 which has just leaked and am now just restoring all of my stuff. It should work fine

Restoring settings is never a good idea. Just causes code issues. Better to start fresh, but let us know if you have bugs...if you were already running 10.3.1 then the settings restore might be okay. Still not advised...

I'll keep that in mind. I was restoring from 10.2.1.

How long has the textual status been in the startup screen? That's awesome.

So far I'm happy with it. I haven't had a chance to try out things like getting calls while in bedside mode and battery life is now under 24 hours, but I haven't encountered any bugs and the android player actually works really well - even Microsoft Office Mobile works now.

Do a non-destructive update via Sachesi to 10.3.1 via Sachesi. Battery life is brilliant, OS is stable as a daily driver. You won't look back. Jump on the bandwagon

I second the non-destructive route. I have never had a problem doing it but admittedly I wait for more stable builds.

I can't seem to add sound or vibrate to my email notification, but I can change the LED colour...

Autoloader is what I always do! Go for it!

Have it on my Passport and have had no issues once it settled. Happy here.

Yeah I used the autoloader to install .1016. So far it's running fine but I did have to create a new "normal" sound profile for my email notification to work. Odd, but the OS lets me make the workaround transparent and seamless. I ended up buying a White Z30 off Shopblackberry as it's now $200 off, so I'm waiting for that to come in the mail.

I installed the BB10.3.1 update on my Q5. Just make sure you back up your phone, because it wipes out the original OS and installs this 10.3.1.

Personally I love it. It's great, though I do notice if I am under say 20% battery life, it kind of gets a little slow sometimes. May be a bug or something. I am not using the final version, so.
Overall though, the OS is highly intuitive, very well designed and a true upgrade from BB10.2.1. BBRY did a great job here.

Can't wait for the Official Update.

Have you got Battery Saving Mode enabled for when it gets to 20%? in the settings it can make that 20% last longer than normal, probably what's making things slow.
