Which version are you on now and what issues are you having? I'm in 10.3.1.2708 with the 2709 radio file and it works well.

If you're holding a Z3, go ahead! You'll be amazed that the latest update gives you a little more usage time with 3G engaged.
But... if yours a Z10... HOLD YOUR HORSES!!!
It's disastrous! Battery drain is very serious even in 2G voice or data connection mode. Just a standby for an hour, will eat 5% of your power juice away!

What's with all the doom and gloom "It's disastrous! " advice? Yes, some users have reported problems, but not everyone.

I've been doing non-destructive updates since early 10.3.0.x builds, and have never experienced serious battery drain. In fact, battery life seems to improve with each newer build.

Unfortunately, cannot offer more without knowing what version you're running now, how long you've been using it, and whether you're having any issues.

Disastrous? Are you serious? Sorry, but I am running 10.3.1.2708 on my Z10 and it works great. Battery life is fine for a Z10 as well. I can get 11 hours out of a battery with normal use. I have four emails on the phone, use it for about and hour non-stop in the morning to read the news. I use FB all day and do phone calls. WIFI works fine for me as well.

I must disagree - I have run just about every 10.3.1 version - am now on beta 10.3.2.281 - I have had no issues and have seen improvements in battery consumption (and in many other areas as well) with each update.

You may have had some unique problems - but to state that 10.3 is generically "disastrous" is untrue and is mis-informing to other users.

My z10 is on 2708 and my z30 is on 2558. Both are running smoothly and no observable battery degradation. My Q10 and Passport are still on 10.2.1 and 10.3.0 respectively. I am holding off a bit to see how the double typing problem reported by some forum members eventually works out.

I am always amazed with the number of people who have issues with updated OS software. Yes, I had a few issues with my first OS 10.3.1 updated via BlackBerry Link...Low volume on notifications was the most annoying one for sure.

However since doing the OTA update that was pushed a couple of weeks after that one everything is good to go on my Q10 and Z10.

As I have said before...I must be one of the fortunate ones based on all the complaints I read... :-)

I will not want to fool you guys... or even joke about this update.
I am currently running 10.3.1.1779 and the battery performance is really... suck!
This week, due to frequent out field duty, I shall stick to my un-updated Z10 which is still in 10.2.1. Next week, I will put up a screen shot to prove ya'll the draining is really going on.
