Sent Email via Share....Not Found

I sent a few pictures from within the picture browser on my Z30 the other day. I Preselected 5 images, then used the Share option under the ... menu...selecting Email. After sending and hear back from recipient that it was received, I went to look up some detail in the message by looking in my Sent items folder...could not find this message. Even checked on line (Gmail) sent folder...not there.

How is it possible to send an email from my account without leaving a record of it?
Known bug?
