The sensors aren't working again on my Telus z30, running the official software--no leaked software. It seems to be the same problem as a few weeks ago.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Which sensors are you referring to? Mine is on telus with .429 and running great. (Knock on wood) don't want to jinx myself lol

    I'm on .429 also.

I don't know which sensors, but when I rotate the phone, the screen doesn't rotate. When I pull it out of the pocket pouch, it doesn't come on automatically, nor does it turn off when I put it back into the pouch. The compass app says that the device doesn't support the necessary sensors.

It is just like a few weeks ago when this happened all over the world.

Bell on Z10STL100-3/10.2.0.1803 and didn't have the problem first time around and I don't have it this time too. Is it possible it affects the same people ?

It won't affect you if you have location services turned off. I believe when you reboot it sends them the data where you are so the server can send calibration data back to you. If you have location services off it won't send anything(i think). Corrupt data sent to your phone was the culprit the last time.

I'm on with support at Blackberry right now - they say there is no known server issue which is the issue that caused the sensor issue last time. I'm still working with them on repairing the problem on my Z30 - I've been on with them for 70 minutes now.

I call major BULL on that answer, because it happens to countless people the same way again as it did the last time. What else could it be that affects people at the same time? It is not likely that all those phones are going bad simultaneously. What a garbage answer you have been told there.

Seems far too coincidental to me also, but I've asked each of the techs I've been transferred to the same question. It does seem strange if it were the same issue that its only impacting a small group of users this time. 93 minutes and counting now - still on with BB tech.

Seems to be happening with me on my z30, first I had it with my z10 and now the z30. If I reboot it's ok but then starts to play up. Running the official os, 429.

So it's not just me. Come on BlackBerry. You have to do better than this. Especially for a company making a comeback. No sensors, cover magnet doesn't help turn screen off and on...

update to previous post - just finished 3 hour call with Verizon, then Blackberry support. Still didn't repair the problem with the sensors - they believe it's a hardware issue on phone, not their servers and suggest I call my carrier back and request a new phone. It seems far to coincidental that we're all having this issue today and it's each of our cell phones issue, but that's the latest.
