    Hi,

I have install the Play Store on my BB Classic OS10 and Q30.

When I install an app, I have like on Androïd, the message :

"This app need to access to... "

    My question is :

Is it effectively the case ? Or The BB datas can't be share by the app cause of the architecture ?

    Because it's very scaring :
    - ID of your phone
    - Pictures, documents, vidéos, musique, etc...
    - All datas of your phone
    - When your are calling and who etc...

For app that juste make RSS Feed !!!!! For example...

    Thanks for your reponse

Or, rather, welcome to the Android 4.3 runtime. Android 6 and newer has had comprehensive individual access rights manageable by the user, but BB10 is stuck on an ancient version of Android forever, and it's only going to get worse.

Use a modern version of ART to solve your problems. Of course, that requires modern Android hardware. Stick with the Native BB10 apps to solve conundrum

    Thank you for your response.

I Will use one with Androïd App and no personal data and the other (Classic) only for works with those new information.

I thought that BBW was closed last december ? Can't access it on my devices : "Can't connect... see your connection"

Doesn't have Android 4.3 individual access rights management using Permission Manager app? Downloaded it using link provided here on CB by @conite (? not sure, may be sb else)

It was actually a bug that appeared in Android 4.3, where you can access the permissions. It was revoked with the next version. But it certainly is not as comprehensive as it would later become.

For those who don't have it yet:

Thank you, @conite. It definitely is a little messy. First of all, one has to install the apk first and then change permissions in Permission Manager. So it is safer to install apk offline to prevent sending data 'home' right after install. But it works probably. E.g. blocking access to GPS position - map apps show no GPS signal after denying permission.

Yes, it's a good idea to install an app and run it first in airplane mode. The permission will only show up in the manager if it has been used (or attempted) at least once.
