What measures does bb10 employ to prevent malicious apps in the Android runtime from stealing info off of your phone as people allege can happen on Android devices? A programmer in India demonstrated last November that even WP8's "walled garden" has security holes that can be breached.

I'm not sure what blackberry is doing but the best way to protect against malicious apps is to be smart and educated when it comes to the matter.

Always be aware of what permissions an app are requesting and never download something that either sounds shady or sounds too good to be true

If an app wants access to my files it better have a damn good reason or I don't run it.

If you're referring to data that's stored in the "sandbox" area of another app (a non-Android one) then BB10 security is so tight that it's impossible for any Android app (or a non-Android one, or pretty much anything except the other app itself) to get at it.

If you're referring to the "shared" data area, which is the one you can make visible as a network share named "media", then non-Android apps have to ask your permission and will have no access whatsoever if you don't grant it. I actually don't know whether the Android ones have to do to access that data... they might get a "free ride" there... no idea.
