    School email problem with 10.2.0.1791-img_20132194.png

After I loaded this os and try to validate my school email it goes to this screen. I can enter my info and it takes me to a different looking inbox than I had before. When I back out and try to go back in I have to reverify again. I don't get the standard edit screen so I can delete it etc just the above screen. When I hit previous it boots me back out. Any suggestions??

I have no idea. By the way, why does it say gmail at the top?

Anyway, try to add your email with advanced settings.

Can you access your school email on your computer using a web browser and a regular email client?

Do not add it as email, regardless if your school email uses email.

Press the button at the bottom center of this screen to go into advanced and add as IMAP.

If it's the default Google info, don't use "imap", try to select Gmail from the advanced screen

OK. So my issue isn't exactly the same, but I had to also set up my school email on my phone.

It uses an exchange server, not a log in page, but it should work.

You need to try to add the account, it will fail, and then ask you for advance settings. Go into that.

    Now, you need some information.

In my personal experience, my log in and email are different. My log in is my student number, and my email is an email address.

Make sure you have the right info for login and email. They may not be the same.

Then of course you have your password.

But more importantly, you have the domain name.

I was able to gather the information on how to do this from the tutorials online for the other operating systems. But bb10 is a different beast. It's a bit harder to set up , but works perfectly after.

I will show you an example of what it's supposed to look like:

As you can see, you need the domain name, and the server address.

That info should be provided to you on the student website. You can also Google the info.

    Best of Luck!

Check settings, accounts, click on the account, and delete the account. The delete button is at the bottom.

If you already did, try a restart.

If it still won't add the account, and if there is no other account interfering, then the very last option that I know left is to do a full backup with BlackBerry Link. Restore everything except for settings.

That annoyed me.. that I couldn't delete accounts until I verified them. I'm pretty sure 10.2.1 let's you delete unverified accounts. But ya, I'd recommend loading 10.2.0.1806 without settings.

You might already be using, but sideload the leaked password keeper first if you need to backup/restore your passwords.

If u check my last screen shot it shows a screen covering the original edit screen where the delete button is. I can slide the screen to the side but it won't stay, it overrides the screen. I was trying to avoid a wipe. Thanks for your help.

Have you got accessing your account from the hub? Hub, 3dots, settings, email accounts, select the account and then hit edit?

So the last option that I know of is unfortunately to backup and wipe the device.

This would not have necessary if Google didn't demand to redirect to their page. >.>

Ok, put it in airplane mode and then go to accounts and try to delete the account. I'm only suggesting this because the screen you get that pops up on top of your accounts screen might not be stored in the cache.
