I've been waiting for over 6 months. So far, every date that people with "inside knowledge" have listed, has come and gone.
I think it's safe to say: T-Mobile has officially given up on Blackberry completely.

Why does it matter? It's software. You could install the latest and then revert (if necessary) to install an official T-Mobile USA distributed one.

It matters if you want (need) to use Wi-Fi Calling. Otherwise, I agree. (That's why my Z30 is on 3.1, but my Z10 and Q10 remain on 10.2.1).

10.3.x hasn't been available for 6 months except for the Passport. There are still plenty of users here in Canada that still haven't received the update. So, I am sure you'll get it eventually

You can try installing a "leaked" version to get the latest OS update.

I think it's safe to assume T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon don't give a flying **** about supporting BlackBerry users period. We're such a small (dare I say insignificant) piece of the mobile phone pie, I'm surprised they haven't decided to quit selling Blackberries at all, figuring most of us will switch to Android or iPhone after a brief period of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I'm using 10.3.1 and I downloaded both the MyTMobile app and Wi-Fi Calling app from BlackBerry World. My Q10 is from TMo, but I don't know if it will be the same for unlocked devices.

My factory unlocked Z30 from ShopBlackBerry can see and get those apps as long as I have the T-Mobile SIM in the device, but Wi-Fi Calling doesn't work for Z30's on T-Mobile.

Factory unlocked Z10/Q10's can see and get those apps with a T-Mobile SIM in the device. Wi-Fi Calling *will* work for those factory unlocked Z10/Q10's because T-Mobile had sold both devices on their network and advertised wi-fi calling with them.

The question for you is whether 10.3.1.x will let you use Wi-Fi Calling. Does the Wi-Fi Calling app let you toggle wi-fi calling On/Off on your Q10 and does it work?

WiFi calling doesn't work on T-Mobile phones (Z10 and Q10) past their latest approved OS which was a 10.2.1 version.

10.3.1 will work on the 2 T-Mobile BlackBerry's but no wifi calling.

And of course for Q5, Z3, Z30, Classic, Passport and Leak there isn't wifi calling support for any software version.

Thinking about finally switching from Blackberry to another Phone. Any suggestions?
I've been an avid user of Blackberry since 2001. My last 6 devices have been BB. I think it's finally time to change, due to their lack of updates. It's funny, I went to Blackberry website looking to upgrade from my Z10 to the Passport, and they don't have an option for trading in an older Blackberry device (only their competitor's devices. LOL)

Definitely don't want to go with iPhone, was thinking about Galaxy S6, but those are already too over saturated. Everybody and their mothers has one. I'm now leaning towards a Nexus or Sony device.

I moved to a Nexus 5 last July and now on a Nexus 6. They are great devices and you get updates straight from Google.

This is why BB should produce their phones with all the bands being available, sell direct and update OTA. They would sell alot more phones.

I have been wondering the same thing with Verizon. No rumors or dates. I know you can install the latest os yourself using sachesi but you shouldn't have to. We pay these carriers a lot of money a month and they can't even give us a ota update. I don't blame BlackBerry for this. This is the US carriers trying to make you switch to either a samsung or apple product. Funny how apple releases a new OS and the same day it's available as a ota download. Oh well nothing we can do about it.

I do! You can't put "all" of the blame on Verizon. Would you want to have to take all of the flack for a flawed BB OS, that you didn't design? It is possible that Verizon is a little too picky, but BB should be able to put out an OS that actually works the way it is supposed to. Workarounds are fine, but the average mobile user just wants a phone that works, when they need it.
