    Are you technically inclided?

I updated just sys.android and android.shell on my phone to 10.3.3 using sachesi. This fixed my broken 10.3.2 runtime. That would likely work for you too.

That fix was only intended for 10.3.2.2876 and 10.3.2.2888. It will corrupt any other build.

2836 is the software revision for OS 2876 - so it's the same thing. Reboot your device by holding down the power button until it restarts on its own. Then walk away and don't touch the device for 20 minutes.

I myself would still like to know what type of phone he has, so I know what kind of chipset/hardware the phone has.

I have suspicions BB's bb10 coding team is about as thorough testing their last few years software on various hardware platforms, as most people are when jamming soup in the microwave.

Given the number of people reporting issues after autoloading 10.3.3, and the known problems with the revisions that have runtime issues, the skeletal programming crew that work on bb10, the dropped support for windows 10 etc, complete faith in the runtime patch seems fairly misplaced. Would it really be so impossible if it didn't run as well on some peoples phones?

Another factor might be the amount of drive space available at run of the patch. Given the broken runtime essentially hogs massive amounts of disk space, and all software uses that space to run, its quite possible the runtime update would commonly be executed in an environment where it doesn't have enough space to execute.

Yes, it would be impossible. It's an open and shut case that has nothing to do with the device. Only 10.3.2.2876 (2836) and 10.3.2.2888 (2484) are affected. The BBW patch fixed it. End of story.

I think we have different definitions of impossible.

I assume its the z30 that's having the problem?

FYI, updating to 10.3.3 seemed for me, to better address the runtime, than the bbw world patch. Using the autoloader - ie a complete re-install of the OS.

Keeping in mind that revision has its own issue - for many people it seems to break BB link, so you'll quite likely have to fully set up your phone again from stratch, app, settings and email account wise.

The actual autoloading part is pretty quick and painless. The setup is the long part, especially if you use cobalt.
