    Heaven...really?

I have 3 cellular accounts in the EU for years. Aside spotty coverage, crosstalk, data at a snail's pace, & cost through the roof, the sole good feature is the fact only the caller pays airtime while in the usa both cellular caller & recipient use airtime. But, why is that?? Because the sellers of AIR CAN & we allow it & pay... but nothing we shell out comes even close to the usurious fees for cellular in the EU !!
    Come to Canada...

An official release sounds great, but I'll wait to see how it's really released. I'm with WIND, so it'll be forever if I have to wait for them. And I live an hour away from BlackBerry! LOL

I'll probably wait for others to post the official release and use an installer. That will probably save me a couple months wait.

That is the real issue, if BlackBerry were to send updates out directly like Apple does.... they would also have to provide the additional tech support.

While it sound nice to push out global updates, BlackBerry is not in a position to take on the extra load of having to be the first line of support for all BlackBerry users.

But too be honest... with the whole move to enterprise, it might not matter. Send the updates to the BES Administrators, they test them and figure out the issues and work around, and then they push them out to users when THEY want to. But for BlackBerry's sake there shouldn't be any issues, or those BES Administrators might find a platform that is less work to deal with.
Maybe BlackBerry should just hire DigitalRiver to provide technical support? LoL

    Ahahaha no worries!

It's just like writing essay format or email format, it's just new lines between idea changes, using lists if you're on the desktop CB (the app doesn't make lists or bold or italics or underlines or any other formatting easy).

And the beauty? You can go back and edit your old posts!

Also one last point, for CDMA users (Verizon /Sprint) not being able to buy a factory unlocked device for your service is a sad situation and I feel for each and every one of you. Especially if that is the only services you can get in your location. Unfortunately those are the breaks.

    Posted via CB10
I think all Verizon phones are unlocked for bb10, but it doesn't really matter.

Not sure what all this nonsense about manufacturers directly releasing OS's in the EU and bypassing carriers is all about.
I'm in the UK and OS releases have always been carrier dependent.
The OS available for my devices varies by carrier. EE and O2 normally have a few weeks between releases while vodafone and 3 seem to have them before anyone else.
And before you ask my devices are always unlocked.

When I asked customer support on my carrier, they said the updates are released by manufacturer and carrier only tests them. (O2, Czech Republic)

But ofc, the customer support may have been wrong, who knows.

On according information, update will be available on the beginning of February...

So who knows, maybe delay in our country...
