9am est time. And there will be no update at that time, that's when blackberry gives carriers the update. Then it's all up to the carriers individually

Blackberry had already given carrier the updates. They're testing and then release it. This date is for all unlocked devices who get their updates direct from blackberry.

Could explain also the rapid development of the 3.1 branch also

Some points we were seeing multiple builds a day.

    Carrier a: everything's great
    carrier b: this doesn't work
BlackBerry : okay fixed here's a new os carrier a and b (a : no changes b: we updated this for your network support)

He might want to say, if it really comes then that will be for non specific carrier or unlocked device first and it is completely depends on carrier when they will release it.

When an OS update is available and ready for download, you will get a notification on your device. Meanwhile, we can do something more productive than speculating on the release date of this update. Holding your breath while waiting for the update is dangerous to your health.

Question: For those who bought the unlocked Passport and are using it on AT&T where will the update come from, Blackberry or AT&T? Does removing the sim card make any difference?

It's correct. Carriers are testing the OS. Confirmed by tmobile Netherlands.

Who said that? That's completely wrong! Carriers don't release updates! As far as I know they just give BlackBerry a Green light when they want to release the update

You're freaking out like you caught me cheating with someone you love. Relax. The answer to your question is no and even if I did, it would have been none of your concerns. This is a forum. You can't stop people from talking whatever they want to talk about. If it's whining about the fact that Blackberry is taking months to release an update, then so be it. Relax. It's a free forum

The carrier actually decides when they wish to open the door to the BlackBerry servers. The carrier controls the switch.

    10.3.1.2243 is officially official.

Full links, including debrick, are live, AND at least one carrier has made it available to the Z30 (O2 in the UK - 234/010).

Now it's up to the rest of the carriers to open the door. It is out of BlackBerry's hands.

BlackBerry release twice as many OS updates per year than iOS AND Android. And that's when BlackBerry have only a fraction of the staff the other platforms have.

So if you don't appreciate this and like what they have to offer you're more then free to hit the road!

    Posted via My Beast Q10
This tells me BlackBerry is still playing catch up and doesn't have the staff to get it done in a timely fashion.

As a consumer I do not care what BlackBerry 's problems are. I just want a good competitive product. If they can't supply it I'll move elsewhere. Along with millions of others that have dropped BlackBerry already.

BlackBerry has not been able to do this for years now.
Chens model isn't working. Thus his recent long silence. He is looking for a life jacket or an exit.
